The X43 Witchway bus service runs from Burnley to Manchester. The area around Pendle Hill has had a long association with witchcraft. To reflect this link, all the Witch Way vehicles are named after one of the Pendle Witches and the judge who presided over their trial in Lancaster in 1612. The vehicles are named after: Elizabeth Southerns, Elizabeth Device, Alizon Device, James Device, Ann Whittle, Ann Redfearne, Jane Bulcock, John Bulcock, Katherine Hewitt, Alice Nutter, Isobel Robey, Jennet Preston, Margaret Pearson, Alice Grey and Judge Bromley.
