More information:

This seed drill is a reminiscent of the big Otago Gold Rush in New Zealand. It started in the end of May 1861 with an Australian finding gold in Gabriel's Gully and attracted several thousand miners to the country. Where they found gold, towns like St. Bathans or formerly Dunstan Creek boomed to service the miners. After a while also some farmers arrived and started to grow food for the miners.
