The Sacred Bard John Morison (b. 1790, d. 1852) John Morison, the Harris Poet(Iain Gobha na H'earadh) Also spelled Morrison in next generation From the book"Harris Familes" by Bill Lawson "John the eldest son was blacksmith at Obbe and latterly in Leaclee.He was better known as "Gobbha naHearadh" the famous hymn writer of Harris, whose works were collected by Rev. George Henderson and published as "Dain Iain Ghobbha"" Had six children by last wife who then emmigrated to Tiverton, Onterio, Canada after his death.
