AAVs from Amphibious Assault Vehicle platoon transported and supported infantry Marines throughout mountainous environment. 24th MEU Marines performed a series of sustainment and joint exercises alongside the French military servicemembers while in Djibouti. The 24th MEU is currently serves as the theatre reserve force for Central Command during its seven month deployment aboard Nassau Amphibious Ready Group vessels. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
