Vintage photo circa 1912 of pioneering German-born pediatrician Abraham Jacobi (1830 - 1919). Jacobi moved to the US in the 1850s and is considered to be the founder of American pediatrics. He established the country's first children's clinic in New York in 1860 and is the only foreign born person to have been President of the American Medical Association (1912 - 1913).
