Thailand: Shiva riding the bull Nandi on a lintel over the doorway of the main prang of Prasat Hin Wat Sa Kamphaeng Yai, Si Saket Province, Northeast Thailand. Prasat Hin Wat Sa Kamphaeng Yai is an 11th century Khmer temple built to honour the Hindu god, Shiva. It was converted in the 13th century to a Mahayana Buddhist temple. Nandi is the bull which Shiva rides and the gate keeper of Shiva and Parvati in Hindu mythology.
