A spherical hand warmer, Nuremberg, 17th century Globe made up of two openworked hemispheres of sheet brass, the two hinged halves fastened with a hook. The front richly engraved with decorative tendrils and birds. A small oil lamp inside the globe with quadruple gimballed mounting. Small repair on one hemisphere. Diameter 13 cm. Rare hand warmer, which was used during the long winters.
