A pair of German black-and-white fingered gauntlets, Nuremberg circa 1580. The cuffs with turned cabled edge. Replaced hand defences incorporating five metacarpal plates with an embossed cabled knuckle-plate. With finger defences of overlapping scales attached to it and a hinged thumb. One gauntlet with proofmark of Nuremberg.
