A May meeting, Exeter Hall, London, c1903 (1903). Exeter Hall, on the north side of the Strand, London, was formerly part of Exeter House, the London residence of the Earls of Exeter. Redesigned by John Peter Gandy (1787-1850) it formally opened on 29 March 1831. The headquarters of the Protestant Reformation Society and the Anti-Slavery Society, the building was demolished in 1907. From Living London, Vol. II, by George R. Sims.
