WASHINGTON, DC - The Chapel of the Resurrection is in the crypt of Washington National Cathedral. Its walls feature several large panels of colorful tiled mosaics. Washington National Cathedral is an Episcopal church located in Washington DC and is the site of many of Washington DC's prominent church and remembrance services. Designed in the Neo-Gothic style, its construction was begun in 1906, with work continuing over following decades. It is the second-largest church building in the United States and stands as the fourth-tallest structure in Washington DC, a feature emphasized by sitting on a high point overlooking over the city. It is best known as Washington National Cathedral, but its formal name is Cathedral Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul in the City and Diocese of Washington.
