Wendover, Buckinghamshire, UK. 15th December, 2020. A vote green party sign at the camp. Stop HS2 activists are busy at their Wendover Active Resistance Camp getting ready for the winter and building more tree houses. Their camp is situated in the direct route of the HS2 High Speed Rail link from London to Birmingham. The activists living at the camp are a collective of autonomous individuals with the aim of protecting the environment and wildlife. The controversial and over budget HS2 rail link puts 693 wildlife areas, 33 SSSIs and 108 ancient woodlands at risk. Credit: Maureen McLean/Alamy
