HS2 Ltd have this morning fenced off a public footpath and started fencing off an area of woodland known as the Spinney in readiness to fell numerous mature trees as part of the High Speed 2 rail link from London to Birmingham. The landowner was allegedly not notified by HS2 Ltd in advance. Anti HS2 activists are living in the woods nearby in an attempt to stop HS2 from felling the trees.
