West Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh Scotland, UK. 12 June 2020. Edinburgh's Floral Clock the world’s oldest – has the message Edinburgh thanks all key workers. Work was completed on 35,000 plus plants at 4pm by the three modest Gardeners, Tam, Davie and Alan who spent 6 weeks on the 2020 version of the popular landmark in the city. Before April, the design was to be a special commemoration of the 350th anniversary of the (RBGE). A change of plans means the Floral Clock – first created in 1903 – is now a colourful tribute to the NHS and other key workers.

West Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh Scotland, UK. 12 June 2020. Edinburgh's Floral Clock 2020– the world’s oldest – carries the message 'Edinburgh thanks all key workers'. Work was completed this afternoon at 4pm by the three modest Gardeners, Tam, Davie and Alan on the 2020 version of the hugely popular landmark in the centre of the city. Before April, this year’s design was to be a special commemoration of the 350th anniversary of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE). However a change of plans means the Floral Clock – first created in 1903 – is now a colourful tribute to the NHS and other key workers during the coronavirus pandemic.
