Young performers make themselves up as the Monkeys for the wayang orang performance based on the Ramayana in the Purawisata Theatre in Yogyakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. The performer dressed as Hanuman the Monkey King is pictured at the right. Wayang orang or Wayang wong (literally 'human theatre') is a traditional Javanese dance and drama theatrical performance based on the Indian epic Ramayana or Mahabharata. The Purawisata Theatre performs the Ramayana Ballet adopted for the foreign tourists every day.
