BERKASOVO, SERBIA - OCTOBER 17, 2015: Group of refugees, mainly children, waiting to cross the Croatia Serbia border, between the cities of Bapska and Berkasovo on the Balkans Route, during the Refugee Crisis Picture of a groupe of refugees, carrying heavy luggage, mainly children from iraq, Syria and Afghanistan, walking on a road near border crossing of Bapska Berkasovo, between Croatia and Serbia. This border crossing, near the Serbian City of Sid, was a major transit point duiring the 2015 Refugees Crisis. Also known as the European migrant crisis, this period saw a rising numbers of people arriving in the European Union, travelling overland through Southeast Europe, to seek asylum, as a results of the wars in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan.
