Detroit, Michigan - A worker removes nails from lumber to prepare it for re-use at a warehouse operated by the nonprofit WARM Training Center. The lumber was salvaged from homes being "deconstructed." Deconstruction, an alternative to standard demolition, takes a building apart piece by piece with the intent of re-using as much as possible.
