The praying towers theMoors built with their mosques were the chiefcharm of their imaginative architecture, and theGiralda at Seville is recognized as one of thegreat towers of the continent. Many towerswere built in Spain and Mexico, finally culmi-nating for us in San Diego in that successfulemphasis of the Exposition in the tower of theCalifornia Building.
