Oct 3- Nov 08, 2006. Australian JOEL PARKINSON (Coolangatta, QLD) (pictured) continued his high level of surfing despite the unfavourable weather during round three of the Nova Schin Festival presented by Billabong at Imbituba, Santa Catarina, Brasil today. Parkinson, current ASP World Number four, found the scores needed to dispose of French surfer Mikael Picon (Capbreton) and advance into round four where he will face ASP World number 22 and brother of defending champion, American CJ Hobgood (Melbourne, Florida). The Nova Schin Festival, presented by Billabong is the 10th of 11 stops on the 2006 Foster's Men's ASP World Tour and is South America's sole top tier tour event. The event will be staged in Imbituba, a punchy beach break offering left and right breaking waves, it is open to swell and will serve quality waves to 40 of the top 45 surfers and 3 wildcards.
